Photos simply do not do justice to the magnificence. So glad I visited! Breathtaking and opulent beyond all reason.

Great preserved home from U.S.'s "Guided Age". Nice unstructured tours with audio, or guided with knowledgeable docents. Read up on the history on the web site and then visit. A must see in Palm Beach.

My favorite museum in Palm Beach County. Whitehall is a beautiful mansion, and his railroad car is pretty cool too. I went here for my 40th birthday, and enjoyed "high tea" in the cafe. My favorite rooms are the library and the formal dining room with that amazing hand carved fire place. This place is filled with lots of cool artifacts, paintings, and sculptures. There's also a nice gift shop too. I've visited here several times, and I always find something new each time I visit. I still haven't seen any ghosts, but I'm always looking! I believe the cafe is open during a certain season of the year. If you get the chance, don't miss out on experiencing high tea with all the tasty treats that come with it. You can also purchase the tea blend in the gift shop. I highly recommend it! Enjoy.

Beautifully restored mansion. Tours are led by knowledgeable docents, or you can take a free recorded tour at your own pace. Reasonably priced. Lots of information is provided. Lovely setting, and guests can wander around the grounds. Nice gift shop. There is a small restaurant/tea shop, but we got there after it closed. A great way to spend an afternoon!

Easily one of the best museums I have toured. Audio tour gives a lot interesting historical insight into not only the history of Whitehall, but of live in the gilded age in general. Anyone who enjoys history will absolutely love this place, as almost each room has it's own audio bit. The place itself is astounding, showcasing the amazing architectural style of the era. You can also briefly tour Henry Flagler's personal rail car, and there is a gift shop with plenty of things to purchase including books that go even further into the history of the era. Perhaps the best part is that you can tour the second floor, where a lot of historical sites restrict access to the first floor. This is a must-stop place for anyone in the area.
