I want to thank, in particular, some of the folks that come here where really great danger was involved, right at the beginning. I have to start with Brock. Where’s Brock? Brock -- Brock Long has been through a lot. We gave him an A-plus in Texas. We thought he could rest for a couple of days, but before he got any rest, he had Florida, right? And you had Louisiana, and you had other places. And, by the way, Louisiana -- we don’t say it often -- but Louisiana got hit very hard also, and they’ve been fantastic. But then he came to Florida, and that we gave him another A-plus.
t first impression it seemed like a great place, until you look a bit closer. If you rate it compared to a Holiday Inn, of course it will surpass a 3-star hotel. But it presents itself like a luxury hotel and it is far from it, except for the price of course. Now, I don't think there were any bed bugs, like some reviews have stated, but don't use white gloves for the dust test either. But then they can't rake in the money, if they do everything first class. Let's just say, it would not be the place of my choice. I would prefer the Sheraton.
I’ve been to Puerto Rico many times as, I think, most of you have known. And I’ve always loved it. And your weather is second to none, but every once in a while you get hit. And you really got hit -- there’s no question about it.
I gotta say I had hoped for better. I thought hey if it's good enough for the president it's gotta be good enough for me. Overall things were... fine... I guess. I mean for the price? Come on. Food was eh. Beds smelled like pee and some of the sheets had weird orange stains. Other than I guess it was all unspectacular in its mediocrity.
Excellent club. Exactly what you would expect and so much more. I had the opportunity to attend a lunch as part of a group. The location was incredibly picturesque, the staff above-and-beyond courteous, and the food delightful. I cannot recommend Mar-a-Lago enough.
What a unique and outstanding pleasure to visit such a magnificent estate and exclusive club. This palatial "Southern White House" is the same Mar-a-Lago purchased by President Trump many years ago from the US Govt who had received the property from Margery Post who had built the complex. I was fortunate enough to be invited to a tour by the curators with a friend who is a Chinese National who is organizing visits to Chinese who are now so excited to see more of this historic and glorious estate since the President of China visited with President Trump earlier in the year. It was not during season, but we were shown the properties and the grounds and I must say it is beauty and detail beyond description. The head curator Vernon and his team treated us so wonderfully.
